After nearly a decade on the planet, he calls his wife using his Telecommunication Cube to give her the news that he is finally coming home.

As this grey, sleek box sends its signals across the universe to his wife’s Telecommunication Cube located tens of thousands of lightyears away, he sets it down on the desk in front of him and spends the next few minutes tidying up his ship.

After a couple of minutes, there is a dinging sound. He returns to his office and stands a few feet in front of the Cube. It takes another minute or so for his wife to finish connecting. When she does, a jet of green light shoots out of the cube, forming above it the shape of his wife—all seven and a half feet of her.

“My love,” she says, “how is the planet Earth doing today?”

“It is snowing outside,” says Tommy in response. “But that is not why I have called you. My dear, I have some wonderful news.”

He explains to her that he will be leaving in the morning.

“I will be in your arms soon, my love. Very soon,” he says. “I am on my way now to buy you and the kids some final souvenirs. I cannot wait to see you. And I cannot wait to see the kids. Send them my love, my dear. Tell them Daddy will see them soon.”
